Thursday night at the Novinger Tournament saw the matchup of two state ranked teams in the girls championship semi-final game. #5 Brashear was taking on #4 Madison. Brashear fell behind 14-6 after one quarter, but rallied to take a 21-20 lead in the 2nd. Madison had regained a 27-21 lead by halftime and Brashear was getting into foul trouble. Madison never trailed again and won the game by a 53-34 margin in a 2nd half that saw 3 Brashear starters foul out.
